Over the past two months I had discovered some new trading setups. The 61B and the 127 Setups were two of them. But after testing them extensively I have put them on the shelf because there were a couple of times they did not work. They worked most of the time but I need my setups to work all the time. Now I’ve discovered another setup I call the Springboard Trade Setup. It is based upon failures of moves reaching the 123.6% Fibonacci extension. I knew I needed to improve my meditating so part of this post will be about a new product and How to Improve Your Meditation with the Brain Evolution System that has worked very well for me.

Back to Meditating
To be honest I haven’t been meditating as much as I should have been. I had become complicit and lazy. After last month’s pitiful showing in Forex, I knew I needed to get back on it and discover new trade setups or fine tune the ones I am using.
I had been testing the 61B and 127 setups as mentioned above. There was also the 38-127 trade but after extensive testing, I came to the conclusion that although they were interesting setups, they failed too many times in order to be of use to me.
I realized in my life I needed to incorporate meditation again and make it a priority. As mentioned earlier I had become lazy because I felt I had done it enough and have the setups I need. I was wrong. What meditation does for me improve not just my trading but my life altogether.
You cannot separate your trading psychology from your everyday psychology. The reason why is you trade based upon who you are. Your fears and strengths are intertwined. That is why most traders fail because it is their own psychology that gets in the way. There isn’t a system or course that will make you profitable if you do not have your mind correct with your thoughts and emotions.
Thoughts and emotions come from who you are. Whether the thought comes first and then the emotion or vice versa, it doesn’t matter. Each of them impacts your life in just about everything you do.
When I meditate I don’t have a set position that I sit or lay down using. Sometimes I stretch out in my recliner, sometimes I sit at my desk, and other times I will do it as I lay down in bed before I go to sleep. It just depends on when I can get a session in. I want to make it as easy as possible so I do it every day.
How to Improve Your Meditating with the Brain Evolution System
Many times when I sit and close my eyes my thoughts are going everywhere and it takes them a long time to quiet down. This is natural and the goal is to examine your thoughts until they become quieter and you get into the stillness.
A year or so ago I discovered BrainEvo (affiliate link) and it has helped with meditating. I don’t recommend a product unless I personally use it and has helped me. So this section as the title of the post implies will be “How to Improve Your Meditation with the Brain Evolution System.”
What the Brain Evolution System does is put on music that you focus on. For me it helps quiet my thoughts a lot faster than sitting in complete silence. They have 7 levels. The first level has the sounds of a babbling brook and is thirty minutes long. They recommend listening to it once per day for six days per week. After 30 days you move on to level 2 and so on and so on.

For me it is worth it because it gets my thoughts quieter much faster and it makes the meditating sessions go by much faster than before. It has also helped me become better disciplined at making sure I meditate each day. Plus, with the music it provides, it helps drown out any distracting sounds during my meditation session.

When I meditate I quiet my thoughts and get into the quietness or stillness, that is where the improvements happen. So for this post in how to improve your meditation with the Brain Evolution System here is what it has done for me:

Even if you can’t meditate for 30 minutes a day then at least do it for 5, or even 1 minute. 1 minute is better than none. Start with only 1 minute a day and do it every day. Make it a habit and then build on it from there. I would rather you meditate for 1 minute a day for 30 days than for 30 minutes at only one day per month. Consistency is the key so make it so easy that there is no barrier for you to accomplish it each day.
What Is New With My Trading From Meditating
As I mentioned above there were several setups I had been working on but had to scrap. From meditating the Springboard Trade Setup came to me which has shown to be the potential of an amazing setup.
But I needed a filter to get in at safer entries. The next day after meditating for some reason I got the idea to try using the Schiff Pitchfork and see what that would look like with the setup.
It is a tool I had on my “favorites” toolbar but never really used. All of a sudden I had the idea to try it out. What I found could be the filter I was looking for. For a short setup, it looks like if I wait for the price to close below the median line then it is safe to enter. For a long setup if I wait for the price to break out of the uppermost line then it is safe to get in.
I know this idea was from meditating because that is how it works. I will start having new ideas pop into my head that I will test out. Some of them work and others don’t but they get me one step closer to finding out what works. That is how I discovered my Bread-and-Butter Trading Setup and the 127-161 setup.
So the system for myself moving forward is to not wait when my trading is flat to meditate. To meditate every day. Then when things are going really well my system is to meditate even more because that is when I need to make sure I don’t become lazy and complacent. It is easy to put in the time and effort when things are going bad. But why wait until that happens to meditate? I plan on meditating even more when times are good so that I can avoid getting sucked back into the rut of being lazy and complacent.
